Dr Olivia Ferguson
Background
I am a postdoctoral researcher currently based at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, Edinburgh. I have considerable experience of proofreading, editing, referencing, and formatting academic writing. On many occasions, I have collaborated with ESL clients. I specialise in editing research-based writing in the humanities and social sciences. Projects have included journal articles, book chapters, PhD theses, MA theses, and research essays, as well as research grant proposals.
In 2017-18 I was the editorial assistant for The Literary 1880s, a book forthcoming with Cambridge University Press. I recently took up the position of Associate Editor at Gothic Studies, the journal of the International Gothic Association. My own research on eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature and visual culture has been published in Notes & Queries, Persuasions: The Jane Austen Journal On-Line, and Gothic Studies.
